As part of Ward Security continuing growth, we are now looking to recruit a Receptionist for our site in Brentford.

Hours of work will be 08.00-18.00 hours Monday to Friday.

The role is responsible for coordinating deliveries, organising travel arrangements for staff, the first person to meet and greet members of the public and staff.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Meet & greet and deal with all clients, suppliers and internal staff courteously and efficiently.
  • Ensure reception desk, waiting area, client lounge and conference rooms are always clean, tidy, fully equipped and ready for use.
  • Report faults and repairs for timely remedial action.
  • Liaise with catering, maintenance, security, technical/room bookings department and cleaning to ensure the overall service is timely and seamless.
  • Answer telephone calls within 3 rings, scan, print, and deliver messages and faxes to meetings as required.
  • Ensure personal presentation and grooming is of a high standard. Ensure your uniform is regularly cleaned and pressed.
  • Ensure that visitors and contractors passes are issued and all details are logged on the relevant sheets. Endeavour to retrieve passes when the visitors/contractors leave the premises.
  • Be aware of all Front of House service standards and work as a team to ensure they are met and exceeded.
  • Develop self and others – seek out new learning opportunities and raise the standard of business performance.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks and duties requested by line management.
  • Ensure Health & Safety and Evacuation procedures are adhered to and attend Fire Warden Training.
  • May be required to perform administration duties.

The role is responsible for protecting a clients’ portfolio business interests by the provision of a security presence in addressing issues dealing with fire, damage, theft and health and safety issues.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • To provide regular foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets.
  • To effectively control the access to the client’s premises, examining documentation to ascertain the authenticity and authority to gain access.
  • Where provided to provide monitoring functions to CCTV and alarm functions. To be aware of the operation of those functions and to respond as required.
  • When required to assist and escort visitors to their destinations within the clients complex.
  • To submit detailed reports on discovery of issues relating to health and safety and crime to the relevant authority either verbally or in report form as required.
  • To effectively deal with all incidents falling within the security remit and to effectively report all incidents to the relevant authority.

 What is the main purpose of the role?

 The role is responsible for coordinating deliveries, organising travel arrangements for staff, the first person to meet and greet members of the public and staff.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Meet and greet clients and members of the public entering the premises
  • To effectively control the access to the client’s premises, examining documentation to ascertain the authenticity and authority to gain access.

What is the main purpose of the role?

Follow, review and lead compliance on Ward Security Limited Compliance Procedures for all Company Operating Procedures.

  • Directly manage the supervision of security personnel, ensuring that the Companies obligations are adhered to at all times in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all relevant information is collated and recorded for future reference.
  • Liaise with all Security Officers ensuring that all information is made available in order for the operation of the Company to work in an effective manner.
  • Ensure that staff and clients of the Company assist the Health & Safety Officer to ensure compliance with policies and regulations adhere to Health & Safety policies and regulations.
  • Participate in and ensure the continuation of specialist training to key members of staff within the remit of your authority.
  • To provide regular foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets.
  • To effectively control the access to the client’s premises, examining documentation to ascertain the authenticity and authority to gain access.
  • Where provided to provide monitoring functions to CCTV and alarm functions. To be aware of the operation of those functions and to respond as required.
  • When required to assist and escort visitors to their destinations within the clients complex.
  • To submit detailed reports on discovery of issues relating to health and safety and crime to the relevant authority either verbally or in report form as required.
  • In line with Company policy carry out routine search procedures in sensitive manner to include vehicles, buildings and persons.
  • To effectively deal with all incidents falling within the security remit and to effectively report all incidents to the relevant authority.
  • To provide a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors.
  • To maintain a log of all visitors, incidents and any other records that may be required by the client.

  • To identify suspicious persons and actions and report such circumstances.

What experience and skills do I need? 

  • A current SIA Frontline License is essential – applicants will not be considered if you do not hold a valid license.
  • Proven track-record of at least 3 years in a previous Supervisory/Management role
  • Excellent verbal and literacy skills for report writing
  • Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels projecting a confident and professional manner.
  • To be able to observe and accurately record incidents as they occur.
  • Be able to prioritise workloads and be flexible in the approach to varied tasks.

What is the main purpose of the role? 

The Senior Accounts Assistant is responsible for:

  • The investigation of variances of the payroll and sales figures by site and region and investigation of discrepancies found or highlighted.
  • The input and review of sales invoices both as part of the monthly or quarterly process and additional works where they arise.
  • Debt chasing and maintenance of debt collection procedures for slow payers.
  • Reviewing contract’s to identify potential issues and reporting these to relevant parties.
  • Assisting with the period end close and accruals process; including preparation or review of periodic Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • The preparation and review of a monthly hours reconciliation, verifying the number of planned hours worked to actual hours paid for through to actual hours invoiced.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Call4Response, & MAD Creative monthly management accounts in an accurate & timely fashion.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation and review of monthly Financial KPI’s.
  • Responsibility for identifying flaws in Finance related processes and implementing controls to limit any subsequent problems.
  • Assist with both the Financial and ACS audits.
  • General ad hoc queries from clients and colleagues

1.   Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • AAT Qualified or higher
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a fast paced, changing finance environment and driving through change
  • Good accounting systems knowledge, gained through in-depth exposure to systems such as Sage

What is the role?

Security Officer – Frontline SIA License  – no applications will be considered unless you hold a valid SIA License.  All roles are subject vetting to a 5 year checkable history.

 In our West & Central Region based at our client’s Site in Bristol

What is the main purpose of the role?

 The purpose of this job is to protect the clients’ business interests by the provision of a security presence in addressing issues dealing with fire, damage, theft and health and safety issues. 

  • complying with procedures, arrangements and instructions
  • remaining aware that their own acts and omissions can have an impact on the environment and taking all reasonable measures to prevent or minimise any such impact
  • promoting and maintaining high standards of housekeeping
  • Patrols
  • Access Control
  • CCTV
  • Incident reports and Daily occurrence logs
  • Visitor logs/vehicle logs/ key register
  • Evacuation

To follow and adhere to Ward Security Limited Compliance Procedures and Company Operating Procedures.

  • To provide regular foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets.
  • To be flexible and available when called upon, if operational needs require so this will be at short notice, you will work on various sites as and when required.
  • To effectively control the access to the client’s premises, examining documentation to ascertain the authenticity and authority to gain access.
  • Where provided to provide monitoring functions to CCTV and alarm functions. To be aware of the operation of those functions and to respond as required.
  • When required to assist and escort visitors to their destinations within the clients complex.
  • To submit detailed reports on discovery of issues relating to health and safety and crime to the relevant authority either verbally or in report form as required.
  • In line with Company policy carry out routine search procedures in sensitive manner to include vehicles, buildings and persons.
  • To effectively deal with all incidents falling within the security remit and to effectively report all incidents to the relevant authority.
  • To provide a locking service as required, locking doors and gates as required by the client.
  • To provide a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors.
  • To attain the first aid qualifications to meet the Company requirements under the health and safety regulations. (As required)
  • To maintain a log of all visitors, incidents and any other records that may be required by the client.
  • To maintain the clients key safe to issue and record all movements of keys within the clients premises.
  • To identify suspicious persons and actions and report such circumstances.

What experience and skills do I need?

 Experience within a similar position is preferred

  • Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels projecting a confident and professional manner.
  • A 5-year checkable work history or back to school record.
  • To be able to observe and accurately record incidents as they occur.
  • Able to prioritise workloads and be flexible in the approach to varied tasks
  • To be of smart appearance at all times whilst representing the company image.
  • To be punctual in attendance.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
