What is the main purpose of the role?

The purpose of this job is to protect the clients’ business interests by the provision of a security presence in addressing issues dealing with fire, damage, theft and health and safety issues.

You will need to complete logs and alarm reports using an innovative IT system and be supported by the Ward Security 24 hour Contact Centre. Other similar associated tasks will need to be completed as required.

What is the main purpose of the role?

To carry out the effective and efficient procedure of the Company’s operations by means of operational interaction and direct liaison with supervisors and line managers. Ensure that all relevant standards, contractual obligations and health and safety issues are adhered to.

  • To respond to requests for reactive ad-hoc patrols and/or security presence as and when required to do so by control, another officer or authorised person.

What is the main purpose of the role?

Call4Response is a 24 hour service provider of Control Room facilities to various companies to, & on behalf of, Ward Security Limited. It is the first point of contact for staff, existing clients, potential client, emergency services & alarm monitoring stations requiring reactive services. It also serves as a Helpdesk for clients and as a Remote CCTV Monitoring Station. Call4Response provides professional support whilst maintaining the smooth operation of the Company’s monitoring software.

Key Functions

  • Work under the direction of the Control Room Supervisors with Customer Service to the fore
  • Acting as the main communication hub for Security Operatives, providing support & dealing with queries in a professional manner
  • Monitoring the booking on, booking off, & check calls of Security Operatives as part of our Operational agreements & duty of care responsibilities
  • Sourcing & allocating operational cover in the event of blow-outs across the security portfolio
  • Monitor & act proactively or reactively on remote CCTV coverage including collating of reports & forwarding any requested information to Operational Staff or clients
  • Monitor & act on Wireless Intruder Detection System warnings deploying Mobile Response officers or and/or reporting on & forwarding any requested information to Operational Staff or clients
  • Receiving alarm activations & deploying Mobile Response units to investigate appropriately
  • Representing clients & responding as their Helpdesk services in line with their instructions
  • Proactively manage, retain and develop long term relationships within the clients’ accounts and recognising opportunities for business development.
  • Analyse call volumes, call queues and traffic as necessary.
  • Work closely with operational team to ensure service excellence to internal & external clients
  • Ensure clear & concise written & verbal handovers between shifts to maintain excellent communication & no dilution of service quality
  • Assist with the development of and maintain quality management systems to measure performance against established standards and ensure compliance with, and a continuation of, attained accreditations.
  • Ensure that operations of the Contact Centre are completed in accordance with the relevant UK legislation, British Standards and Company Operating procedures.
  • Fully complying with the responsibilities and tasks contained within their job description including any additional, or introduction of, new services.
  • Provision of cover for any annual leave, or in the event of sickness, within the Control room team
  • Any other reasonable request as directed pertinent to the role to support current business needs

What is the main purpose of the role?

The Loading Bay Supervisor is responsible for the Loading Bay in B2 & B3, ensuring that all deliveries to and collections from Bankside 2 & 3 are correctly processed in a safe, professional and timely manner, reporting to the Duty Manager. 

To take reasonable care for the Health & Safety of yourself and of other persons who may be affected of your actions in accordance with Section 7 of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

To fully co-operate and commitment of the Company Environmental Policy to ensure and adhere to:

  • complying with procedures, arrangements and instructions
  • remaining aware that their own acts and omissions can have an impact on the environment and taking all reasonable measures to prevent or minimise any such impact
  • promoting and maintaining high standards of housekeeping

 

Key Functions

 

It is the role and responsibility of the Loading Bay Supervisor to:

 

  • To maintain security for B2 and B3 loading bays;
  • To ensure deliveries are received in a timely manner and that the relevant documentation is kept updated;
  • To keep the mail service provider informed of all deliveries;
  • To ensure H&S compliance, complete regular audits and escalate any concerns to the Deputy Security Manager;
  • To actively deal with Couriers that challenges his authority;
  • To make sure the loading bay users keep the loading bays tidy and restrict themselves to their working areas and keep their bins and cages in their allocated areas;
  • To schedule and control the delegation and use of the goods lifts;
  • Share knowledge and experience with all employees under your supervision. Participate in and ensure the continuation of training to all members of staff within the remit of your authority;
  • The Officer will also be required to provide access control, checking passes in the same way as on main reception. If any contractors arrive he will check with the Security Manager or the Assistant Manager to verify that they are cleared to work in the building. He will then issue them with a contractors pass and allow them in;
  • Escalation procedure for Fire, theft, intruder, flood, gas leak, accident, injury, death on site would be to inform Emergency Services or OMNICOM (where necessary), the site Security Manager, Ward Security Limited Contact Centre/Operations Manager who will inform the client and Ward Security Senior Management Team where required;
  • Ensure that the loading bay and post room areas are well maintained and kept to a high standard of cleanliness and operational efficiency;
  • Ensure that strict access control measures are enforced and maintained at the Loading Bay;
  • Ensure that communications are maintained with the SCR via radio;
  • Continually review the service provision and suggest improvements or innovations where appropriate;
  • To ensure the correct and safe use of Goods lifts by all persons.
  • Respond proactively to any client or customer request;
  • Assist Emergency Services as required;
  • Any other duties that the Company may request from time to time that have not been included in the above;
  • To follow and adhere to Ward Security Limited Compliance Procedures and Company Operating Procedures.
