Terror Threat Level Adjustment

Sec update alert header

On Saturday 27th May it was announced that the threat level from international terrorism to the UK was to be adjusted from CRITICAL back to SEVERE. It was further communicated that, based on risk and community reassurance, the increased Police presence was to remain in place over the Bank Holiday Weekend until 07.00 hrs this morning.

Although this is a welcome return it is worthy of note that that SEVERE still reflects that an attack is “highly likely,” therefore, in line with Police recommendations to the private security industry, Ward Security will continue to encourage and promote the appropriate vigilance within our front line operatives so as to remain alert for any signs of unusual behaviour.

Businesses are advised to regularly review and practice their emergency procedures and continuity plans, particularly with respects to reducing the potential for large crowds gathering at single muster points.
