Ward Security has further strengthened its credentials as one of the leading security providers in the South East by being shortlisted in a national security awards competition.

The company has been nominated for ACS Champion of the Year in the prestigious Security Excellence Awards, which rewards only the very best operators, consultancies and people within the security industry.

By being shortlisted for ACS Champion of the Year, Ward Security had to demonstrate that it had taken exceptional steps to further the spirit of the scheme within the available resources and that it had created a safer environment for the public.

Hailed as the ‘Oscars of the security world’, the awards are organised by United Business Media Ltd, and supported by info4security, the results of this year’s Security Excellence Awards will be unveiled on October 17 at The Hilton Hotel Park Lane, London.

Close to 1,000 guests are expected including finalists, judges, sector leaders and professionals. During the evening the award winners are announced and invited on stage to collect their trophy.

Commenting on the shortlisting, managing director of Ward Security, David Ward, said: “In an industry where standards of operational excellence can vary enormously, Ward Security has consistently aimed to improve all areas of its business.

“Being shortlisted in the ACS Champion category is evidence of our commitment to improving not only our own standards but that of the whole security industry. Ward Security is not a business that rests on its laurels: we aim to continue to improve our operational excellence and hope that we continue to be recognised in this respect.”
